slowpoke (a pokemon) itself has become one of the biggest icon for online forums… its rare not to see slowpoke when someone create a repost thread or is jz slow… slowpoke itself has evolved to the form of slownic (slowpoke + sonic)…

The WoW temptation

i hate you guys!!! lol… these few days i’m been extremely tempted to play WoW… i’m being lured into the darkside which would drain everybit of my life away from me… WoW is the acronym for World of Warcraft which is currently the best MMORPG out there with 11.5million subscribers… Of course over the years, i’ve been very much in control of myself not playing WoW…

lets face it, Warhammer Online is totally superb in my book… its by far the best pvp based gamed i played and i totally love tearing people apart either with my white lion or my squig herder… till now i am totally in love with it and there are sitll black orks, engineers and witch elves that i would love to try and play… the problem is? their server sucks!!! everywhere, u can see rants about the server issues from lagginess to disconnection… heck even their login server has problem… how can u enjoy a pvp based game when u rushing in and everyone around u disappear only to reappear and u dead due to server issues? how do u like typing something for it to pop up in 5 minutes time? how would u like to attac k a fortress/ city when the lag is jz unbearable? how would u like to zone in and disconnect starting at the beginer’s area?

this is how bad the servers are now… other than that, i have no problem about the game… the pvp and the community is totally great… i had a blast with all of my characters (i made lots of them)… it is not as hardcore as WoW and i could actually take my time to enjoy the game and not being a loot whore… my subsctiption expired on the 4th of jan and i have not renewed it since then due to the server stability…

this is where the WoW temptation kicks in… most of my frens are WoW players and i am under such peer pressure all the time… then u have alfred who join back WoW (so does chun keat, jenshen, tjinn etc)… only one who is immune would be Jason who could bear nt losing his life like his frens already has… he’s the only one who can post about ” say NO to WoW” being the lone survivor (i’ve touched WoW before) among his frens…

when u have a game disappointing u in terms of server while another game has been relatively stable, the lure is jz too strong… its as though the lich king is calling to me (i read and loved the story of warcraft)… heck i even surf WoW forums now lol… wonder how long can i last before losing my soul to WoW… good thing is my budget is tight (no allowance during the holidays) with valentine’s day coming up soon together with my 3rd year anniversary with jp (best gal ever)… so it kinda helped slowed down the WoW temptation until u realize chinese new year is coming with funds for u lol… the ps3 is sitll over at my bro’s place so i’m pretty bored right nw, vulnerable to the dark whispers (especialy alfred’s) … warhammer dun show much sign of improvement yet as well…

i sitll have my research on image retrieval to be done (doing it nw but somehow the holiday mood sloooows down the progress)… i might even be going back subang soon since the journals are over at the uni… of course roy (my housemate) is the biggest WoW fan among my frens and its like living next to darth vader himself and not getting lured to the dark side!!!

let say if i do WoW, i’m forced to roll a ghey elf (male blood elf) since i would want to play a paladin over at the horde side… lets face it, unless u are a death kngiht, paladin, mage or rogue pvp would be tough for you… heck Retribution Paladin is so OP that Arthas decided to reroll a Paladin again and quit being a Death Knight… Note: OP does not stands for overpowered anymore when the citizens of WoW used it to warn others of the paladins (OP = OMFG PALADIN!!!)… they changed owned to pwned when they realize paladins starts with ‘p’… dun be surprised if Chuck Norris is a ret pally lol…
